The famous music educator, Jenő Ádám (1896–1982), Kossuth Award laureate, Merited Artist of the Republic of Hungary, was born in Szigetszentmiklós. As a composer, conductor and one of the most influential educators of the 20th century, he elaborated the methodology that later came to be known as the Kodály method. In Ádám’s birth house, the visitor will find an exhibition of his life’s history, as well as the original furnishings of the house.
