Tass - Halászcsárda (Fish Restaurant) & Pension of Tass

The Fisher Jerry of Tass was built in 1905. The Halászcsárda was built by a merchant from Dömsöd to have a rest place and restaurant for the people arriving with merchant ships because of exchanging.

In 1950, the Halászcsárda was nationalized, the operating was in the hands of Áfész of Dunavecse. At this time it was guided by Bálint Szigetfű for a long time. From 1950 until 1990 the Halászcsárda burnt down twice. Its original condition hasn’t been restored. It was closed from 1990 until the spring 1995. From the summer 1995 the M.L.K.H. Ltd. was trying to re-open it but not for a long time because in 1997 they sold it to the Hajdú family. The current chief and the owner could speak a lot to Bálint Szigetfű about the past few years of the Halászcsárda and about his experiences. After these, the developments and renovations started. On 1. May 1998 opened its gates with Erzsébet Lengyel’s guiding, who is still in charge in the Halászcsárda.
